EB1 Insights
where you answer your questions about EB1 greencards yourself
Our mission
We know more collectively, than we know individually
We all have questions about the EB1 immigration process, many of which are not answerable individually, but we can answer with our combined knowledge. Our mission is to pool this knowledge together and organize them so that we could learn from our combined expertise. Our data analytics platform, powered by your data, will help you make wise, informed decisions through your EB1 process.
Take a tour of the dashboard
The dashboard is power-packed with a lot of information and many of its awesome capabilities may not be obvious at first sight. View this self-explanatory short video tutorial showing how to make the most use of the dashboard.

Examples
Below are examples showing how to answer specific questions yourself. These are just three out of many many questions you can answer yourself. The videos are based on an earlier version of the dashboard, but the essence remains the same. Subscribe to our YouTube channel for more videos.

Should I upgrade my case to premium processing? Does that affect my chances of getting it approved?
Deciding between responding to RFE & withdrawing the petition
Is it wise to response to the RFE, or should I withdraw my case since the officer assigned to my case has a record of denying cases.
Learning recent trends in EB1 approvals
Have the approval rates increased overall, since the administration changed in early 2021?
Frequently Asked Questions (click to expand)
- This is awesome and I want to contribute. How do I go about it?
Do you like the dashboard and want to be a data point in there, like a star in the sky? Great! Please fill in the questionnaire and be as detailed as possible with your answers. Your responses go a long way in making informed choices.
Oh, did you mean to financially contribute? Then please buy me a coffee :-)
- I got what I want from your website. What's the incentive for me to contribute back?
We're glad you benefitted from the goodwill of other people and hope you'll do the same. We also offer our insights into other non-quantitative aspects behind RFEs and approvals via email if you have contributed to our database.
- Why do you need my email? I don't feel too comfortable sharing it.
Your email address is safe with us. We require your email address for two reasons: 1) to send back a copy of your response so you can update your case later 2) so we can reach out to you if there are any questions about your response. Your email address or any other personally identifiable information (PII) is never shared with anyone. And no spams, we promise!
- I know someone who has also filed EB1A/EB1B/EB2-NIW case. Can I fill in their information as well?
We appreciate your enthusiasm! But to keep the information in our database accurate, we require your friend to fill out the survey by themselves. We also want the information to be presented voluntarily. Feel free to point them to this website and nudge them to add themselves to our database.
- There's no such thing as a free lunch. What's the catch here?
Nothing at all! Well, if you are finding this website useful, then you probably have filed, or will file under EB1A/EB1B/EB2-NIW categories in the near future. We expect you to contribute back your data to keep our collection growing. So I guess, there's your catch?
- Do you offer anything extra for those who have financially contributed to this initiative?
Subconsciously may be, but not really. Our dashboard is freely accessible to everyone and we will provide details on other qualitative aspects of the cases (without revealing PII, of course) if you have submitted a response. Otherwise, financial contributions are totally voluntarily but encouraged. If the value you gained from this website is more than the value of your time taken to fill our survey, you may support us by buying us a coffee.
- I filled the survey but I don't see any changes in the dashboard. Did you not get my submission?
If you got a confirmation email with a copy your response, then we did receive your submission. If you did not, please check your email address in the first page again. The dashboard is updated manually on a weekly cadence (roughly) after checking the new data for internal consistency. Your information should be appear within a week along with others.
- The form is showing an error message although my response is a valid one.
The form has stringent response validation to standardize the data, with helpful error messages. However, if you believe this is still an error on our part, reach out to us at eb1insights@gmail.com
- How long is the survey?
Depending on the circumstances of your case, it can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes. The detailed nature of the survey directly translates to the wealth of information you gain from the dashboard. This is nothing compared to filing an I-140 in EB1A/EB1B/EB2-NIW categories. If you're curious about seeing the data model, click here.
Why do a lot of the question do not seem applicable to me?
This questionnaire is particularly aimed for researchers, particularly in the STEM fields. If you have any thoughts about how to make it more generic, please send us an email.
